The  MoodPrism website, located at moodprismapp.com (“Website”) and the associated application known as MoodPrism (“App”) are owned by MoodPrism Pty Ltd ACN 625135088. 

This Privacy policy relates to how MoodPrism Pty Ltd (“MoodPrism”, "we", "us" or "our") collects, holds and uses your personal and health information.  We are committed to maintaining confidentiality and security of your personal information, and managing it in an open and transparent way. 

If you wish to make any inquiries regarding this Privacy Policy, you should contact our Privacy Officer in any of the ways specified in paragraph ‎8.

We review our Privacy Policy from time to time to ensure it is up-to-date, and takes into account any new laws, regulations, practices and technology.  All Personal Information and Health Information collected by us through the Website or the App will be governed by our most recent Privacy Policy, posted on the Website and the App via this link: https://www.moodprismapp.com/privacy-policy

1.             Retaining Anonymity

When dealing with the MoodPrism app or website, you are welcome to use a pseudonym (or false name/nickname) to remain anonymous. 

2.             What Personal Information and Health Information do we collect?

"Personal Information" means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who can be reasonably identifiable.  Personal Information collected includes your email address as well as other preferences you inform us about. 

“Health Information” is information or an opinion about the physical, mental or psychological health connected with the health status of an identified individual or an individual who is reasonably identifiable.  Health Information collected includes (but is not limited to) information about your mood, as well as your responses to survey questions and other prompts about your mood and your wellbeing.

3.             When and why we collect Personal Information and Health Information

We may collect your Personal Information and Health Information when you visit the Website or the App, fill in a form or survey on the Website or the App or contact us by telephone, fax, email, post or in person.  Where we engage with you multiple times over a short period in relation to the same matter, we may not provide you with a separate notice about privacy each time we engage with you.

We use analytics tracking in our Application and Website, “Cookies” on our Website and questions voluntarily answered in our Application by users. Cookies are small files that are transferred to your computer's hard drive through your web browser and enable our site to recognise your browser and remember certain information.

We collect your Personal Information and Health Information to allow us to conduct our organisational functions (as described in 3.1 below) and to respond to any queries that you submit through the Website and the App.

4.          How is your Personal Information and Health Information used?

4.1 We use the Personal Information and Health Information we collect about you for our organisational functions and activities, which may include the following:

(a)       to communicate with you and provide you with information or services you have requested (such as providing feedback on your wellbeing and mental health)

(b)       to link your account across your multiple devices;

(c)       to conduct research and to report findings related to the MoodPrism research program in an aggregated and in a de-identified form;  and

(d)       improve the functionality of the MoodPrism app.

4.2 We use the Personal Information and Health Information we collect about you for our organisational functions and activities, which may include the following:

(a)       in accordance with this Privacy Policy or any agreement you enter into with us; or

(b)       required or authorised by law, including without limitation the Information Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (cth).

4.3 If you choose not to provide your Personal Information or Health Information to us for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, we may not be able to undertake certain activities for you such as providing you with requested information or services.

4.4 We use cookies and tracking software to compile aggregate data about site traffic, site interaction and usage of the Application and Website so that we can offer better experiences and tools in the future. You may be able to configure your computer so that it disables cookies or does not accept them. For example, some third party vendors including Google use cookies to deliver advertisements based on your prior visits to their website. You have the option to opt out of Google's use of cookies by visiting the Google advertising opt out page at www.google.com/privacy_ads.html.

5.             To whom we disclose your Personal Information or Health Information

5.1   Depending on the nature of your interaction with us, we may disclose your Personal Information or Health Information to our related entities and third parties that provide products and services to us to conduct or to enable the Website and the App.

5.2   The App or Website host, site builder or software application providers in certain limited circumstances, for example when the Website or the App experiences a technical problem or to ensure that it operates in an effective and secure manner, may be able to access Personal Information or Health information you have provided to us.        

6.             Accessing and updating your Personal Information or Health Information

We take all reasonable steps to ensure that any Personal Information or Health Information we collect and use is accurate, complete and up-to-date.  To assist us in this, you need to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as requested, and properly update the information provided to us to keep it true, accurate, current and complete.  Please contact us in any of the ways specified in paragraph 8 if you believe that the Personal Information or Health Information is inaccurate or incomplete, and we will use all reasonable efforts to correct the information.

7.             Storage and security of Personal Information or Health Information held by us

7.1          We aim to keep your Personal Information and Health Information secure.  Any Personal Information or Health Information that is collected via the Website or the App, or which is held on our computer systems, is protected by safeguards including password protection. 

7.2          If we find that we have no further need for your Personal Information or Health Information, and are not required to keep it to comply with any laws, we may remove it from our systems and destroy all record of it. 

7.3          Your Personal Information and Health Information will be stored in Australia.  In the event of an overflow of data at the server’s site, international storage may take place.

7.4          We may share your information with our service providers who assist us in providing our services including hosting and data storage providers (such as Amazon web Services). We endeavour to store your information on an Australian server.  However, in the event of an overflow of data at the server’s site, international storage may take place.   

7.5         You may delete your account at any time by emailing moodprism@outlook.com.au, which will delete the information in the app.  However, we will continue to hold a secure copy of your information for a minimum of seven years after the closure of your account in order to comply with applicable laws.

8. What to do if you have a question, problem or complaint about our use of your Personal Information, Health Information or this Privacy Policy

If you have a concern or complaint relating to our handling of your personal or health information or our Privacy Policy, you can contact us by:
